Condolences for Donald Wheeler

Dennis, I am sorry to hear about your dad. He was a great teacher, and was very patient with a lot of us during drivers ed. He was a great guy who always had time to talk and share a story. I know he is missed greatly!

I'm sorry to hear of Don's death. We are out of town and heard of his death. He, Tom Lambert, and Jim Fassler were the welcoming crew when I first started at WHS. We had many good discussions over a cold one after he retired, I miss those days.

I remember the first time coaching Tball. I knew Don was experienced in baseball so counted on on him to make our team better "and keep me from looking foolish."

It was special that they honored him for starting girl's basketball in Worland. He put in many years to make the team successful.

He will be remembered by lots and lots of people.

Just heard that Yogi's work is finally done, and he's gone to be with Velma . . . . sorry he's gone, but glad to have known him. Had the privilege of teaching with him at WHS for my entire 13 years, and often remember clever things he said or did! On a discussion about winning not being as important as playing well, his "They still keep score don't they" is a fond memory!
Godspeed, Yogi!!!
