I haven't seen Max since the early 80's when I lived in Johnstown but he was a great and very funny guy. I've wondered about him all these years and I'm very sorry to hear of his passing. My deepest condolences to Karen and the entire family. Max sure was "one of a kind". He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. RIP Max.

Max, you are sorely missed, as a Son, Father, and the best friend anyone could have. My prayers are with you Karen, Justine, Victoria, Lois, Connie and Carol. All who knew you loved you as the Real Deal, a genuine, caring man and one of the last rugged individualists left on this planet. We are left with volumes of memories, and what memories they all are. Rest in Peace, Rick. "There is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother." Proverbs 18:24

So sorry to hear about "Max". I was a Zone 3 dispatcher when he worked out of Fonda and he was always so great to talk to and give complaints to. He certainly got himself in some predicaments, but was truly one of my good memories of the SP environment. My sympathy to his wife and family. We lost another GREAT one.

I'm very sorry to hear about Richard's passing. Richard (and the whole Maxian family, for that matter) was always one of the most interesting people that came into AAA Northway when I was there. Richard had a way of speaking that was so entertaining. My thoughts are with Karen and the girls during this time. I will remember Richard fondly.

Knew Max from many Boy Scout meetings and campouts. Loved the way he could irritate the assistant scoutmaster. Lots of fun shooting in the back woods near the Flume. Nice to see him so happy at the last reunion.Rest In Peace Rick, you were one of the good ones.

I talked with him many times as a young patrol officer. He would always stop by the Canajoharie Police Department just to say hi. He was very knowledgeable, and he was someone to look up to. He especially enjoyed Wintergreen Park. Just an all around great guy.

Karen and family, So sorry to hear about Rich! He and I went to high school together! I was also friends with his sister Connie. He was a character, that is for sure. He loved his family and his friends! May he enjoy the big hunting ground above
