Condolences for Roger Youtz

Kaye, Susan and Diana: We will miss your dad. As one of his students and basketball players at Veteran High School he taught me some much about life. When I graduated from college I joined him at Worland and again he tutored me on being a coach and teacher. But, most of all at just being a good human being.
I have many fond memories of him and your family. My sincere condolences to you and your families on the loss of a great man and friend.

The "Coach" as most of us in the Class of 61 referred to him, was one of those very rare, special people that made you feel better just seeing him or talking to him. He taught what could have been the dreary subject of U.S. History with wit and creativity that made it one of my favorite classes and the Coach my favorite teacher. After I retired to Worland, I was blessed with many occasions to visit with him , often at some Legion function or, even a funeral. His presence made it memorable and pleasant. Worland is a lesser place with his passing.

Coach Youtz was a person that all of us looked up to and took his advice in becoming a better person. The town of Veteran became a better place because of you. We will miss you Coach. It was great to see you at our last school reunion.

Dear Kay, Susan & Diana,
I have many fond memories of "Mr. Youtz" as my Principal, and then It was a true joy to get to know Roger anew after I moved back home. He was always smiling and had a kind word for everyone.

Roger was a big part of our community, a great role model for all of us and will be sorely missed. I am so sorry we will be out of town on Saturday and cannot be there with you. Hugs.

Coach Youtz has always been one of my heroes. He was my basketball coach and teacher for my four years at Worland high school and my friend for may years thereafter. He was truly a unique man and we are all better off having know him. Dave Harris

So sorry to hear of Roger's passing. He was always so positive and a great person to listen to concerns, accomplishments, and share ideas as a fellow principal. I had great respect for him.

Rest in peace Roger.

I have known Roger for over 40+ years and he always had a smile and a greeting. When I was on the school board and he was the Principal at the Jr. Hi., no matter how a decision turned out whether it was good for his Building or not, he always had that upbeat attitude knowing that it was part of the business.I will miss him dearly. Condolences and sympathy to his family from Lorna and myself.
