Adolph "Al" Julius Shorte Jr

Al Shorte, 59 year old Worland resident died at Washakie Medical Center on September 20, 1999.

He was born in Cleveland, Ohio on December 15, 1939 to Adolph & Rose Shorte. He received his education and graduated in Cleveland, Ohio. At the age of 18 he went into the Navy where he served 16 ½ years and 13 months in Vietnam. He was married to Freda Hoffman on March 17, 1969 in San Francisco. And they made their home in San Diego California. In July of 1973 he was discharged from the Navy.

Al’s hobbies included, ham radios and computers for many years. He loved photography and collecting Telegraph keys. He is one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and loved to talk to people about the Bible.

He is survived by his wife Freda of Worland, son Garry McCullough of San Diego; daughters Kathy Ausonio, Carol Horner, Susie Gagliano and Leslie all of San Diego, one brother Richard Shorte of Barberton, Ohio and 19 grandchildren.
