Andy Jasper Vigil

Agapito Andres “Andy” Jasper Vigil, 83, beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, veteran and friend passed away peacefully on July 25, 2026.

Andy was born in Wagon Mound, New Mexico. He was the oldest of 18 children born to Lucy Rose Vialpando and Juan Andres Vigil. He grew up with a strong sense of family, responsibility and resilience that remained with him throughout his life.

In 1970, Andy married Vicki Kleemann. Although they later divorced, together they shared the joy of raising six children: Andrew (Connie), Larena (Bryan), Shawna (Joel), Myria, Deandra (John) and Rianna (Brock). His family continued to grow over the years. He became a proud grandfather to 25 grandchildren, a great-grandfather to eight great-grandchildren, with one more on the way. Nothing brought Andy greater happiness than spending time with his children and grandchildren. They were the pride and joy of his life.

He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. In recognition of his courage and dedicated service he was awarded six military medals, a testament to his commitment and sacrifice. After returning home, he built a life doing what he loved. He owned and operated his own body shop in Worland, Wyoming (where he spent most of his adult life). Known for his exceptional skill, strong work ethic and willingess to help others, he took great pride in restoring vehicles and working with his hands.

Outside of work, Andy embraced life with an adventurous spirit. He loved exploring the mountains, traveling whenever the opportunity arose and trying his luck at the casino. Whether it was a road trip, a new destination, or simple the open road ahead, Andy was always ready for his next adventure. He lived life with curiosity, determination and a sense of fun that will be remembered by all who knew him.

He will be rememebered for his generous heart, his love of family, dedication to his country and his adventrous soul. His legacy lives on through his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings, extended family and the many friends whose lives he touched. He was deeply loved and will be greatly missed, but his memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
