Obituary
August Brandon Bishop
July 7, 2017 - February 22, 2026
August Brandon Bishop, age 8, died peacefully in the arms of his parents and was freed from his earthly disabilities on Sunday February 22, 2026. The beloved firstborn child of Brandon and Erica (née Minicozzi) Bishop, August was born in Hemet, California and came into the world with a traumatic brain injury that resulted in severe cerebral palsy and accompanying complications. He experienced many physiological and medical hardships in his short years, but through it all, his life and his family's lives were made radiant and beautiful by the sustaining grace and goodness of God. His family was forever changed by August's birth and life, and by God's grace they will never be the same even as they endure his death.
August loved movies; hanging out with family and friends; going to church; feeling the wind on his face outside; and hymns and worship songs, especially by Keith and Kristyn Getty. His smile was a soul-piercing spark of sunshine. Even with his limitations, he expressed a simple childlike joy and love for the things of the Lord, and his family grieves with hope that August did indeed depart to be with our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, and that all who trust in Christ for forgiveness and new life will be alongside August in the presence and glory of the Lord Jesus eternally.
August is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Michael and Paula Bishop. He is survived by his parents, little brother Tobias (4), little sister Alethea (2), maternal grandparents Augusto and Paola Minicozzi of Worland, extended family around the country, and a circle of steadfast, loving church family and friends.
A memorial service for August will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday March 14, 2026, at Sovereign Grace Bible Church, 403 S. 15TH Street in Worland. As an alternative to flowers, the family would gratefully receive donations toward August's medical bills. Checks may be made payable to Brandon Bishop and sent to PO Box 524 Worland, Wyoming 82401. Online condolences may be made at www.bryantfuneralhomeonline.com.
