August (Augy) Rietzke, 85 year old resident of Community Care of America. Died on January 19, 1999 at Community Care.
Augy was born on June 13, 1913 in Berlin, Germany to August and Hedwig Rietzke. He moved with his family at the age of two to New Jersey. He attended school in Northern New Jersey and worked in the family business building boats.
He was married on February 26, 1937 to Ida Raynor Muller in Freehold, New Jersey. They made their home in Englishtown, New Jersey where they raised their family. Augy worked as a truck mechanic on the New Jersey Turnpike. He then went to work for Buck Engineering in the Electronics department until age 55. He then worked as a mechanic in a car dealership in Freehold, New Jersey until he retired at the age of 65. He continued to live at his home in Englishtown until moving to Wyoming in 1996.
His hobbies included boating, photography, working on cars, silk screening and spending time on family outings.
He is survived by three sons; Richard of Brick, New Jersey, Robert of Englishtown, New Jersey and Charles of Cranford, New Jersey, one daughter Joan and husband Zieb Stetler of Thermopolis, nine grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and one brother.
