Billy Matthew Arender

September 22, 1963 - May 31, 2017

Billy Matthew Arender passed away on May 31, 2017 at the Washakie Medical Center. With his devoted, loving partner Sabrina McClain at his side, just as she had been for his last 2 years of his courageous battle from cancer.

Matthew born September 22, 1963 in Jackson, Mississippi to Billy Ray and Effie Kate (Martin) Arender. He spent his early years in Mississippi working in construction and plumbing. He spent 10 years serving his country in the United States Army as a Combat Engineer. He made his way to Wyoming, and started a started a career in Law Enforcement working for the Worland Police Department and Washakie County Sheriff's Office. At the time of his death he was employed at the sheriff's office and a detention Sargent.

He was preceded in death by his father Billy Ray Arender and mother Effie Thornton and both sets of grandparents.

Matthew is survived by his loving partner, Sabrina McClain, sisters Jenny Arender and Kay Chandler of Mississippi, his stepmom, Rachel Arender of Brandon, Mississippi and his stepsister Valerie Martin of Cheyenne, Wyoming. Survivors also include numerous aunts, uncles, nieces nephews, cousins and his brother and sisters in the law enforcement community.

Cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be 4:00 pm, June 3rd at Riverside Park in Worland, WY. Online condolences may be made at www.bryantfuneralhomeonline.com.
