Brenda Weber

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Brenda Lynn Weber (Spargur), 61. She passed away on July 18, 2026, at her home in Basin, Wyoming.

She was born in Sydney, Montana, on July 5, 1965, to James Rolland Spargur and Helen Jean Thompson. Graduating from Basin High School in 1986. She was very active in school, participating in basketball, softball, and gymnastics. Brenda shared a special bond with her twin brother Raymond Spargur and grew up in a large blended family with many siblings.

She was married twice before she met the love of her life, Christopher Weber. They were married on May 2, 2009. Together they shared their passion for fishing, boating, camping, and grandbabies. They joined their lives together with children from both their previous marriages and cared for them deeply. Brenda had three children and Chris had two. These children are Samantha, Kyle, James, Megan, and Roger. Together they enjoyed being a wonderful family! She also had pets, but they were more than pets they were family to Brenda, her two dogs Jake and Milo. She also had her cats, Dac, Cleo, and Shilo. Brenda loved and she was very good at it! She will forever be in our hearts, on the mountain with us, at the lake, or on a boat (not going fast) and with us in all that we do. We say goodbye to our sister, mother, grandmother, aunt, friend, family but we will be together again. Love always!

Brenda worked hard and earned her CNA License. She then went to work at the Wyoming Retirement Center followed by working at South Big Horn County Hospital (Three-Rivers Hospital) where she really enjoyed working in the ER. She loved being a CNA and learning all there was to help someone. It was sad for her when she had to leave the profession for other health issues, but she found another way to fill that void. Brenda then worked at Valley Hardware for Todd Clifford where her great-uncle used to own it before Todd. She could still help people without the stress.

Brenda was always willing to work hard and help when she could. She was one who never strayed from helping others. Brenda was one who would set her mind to something and not give up, no matter what.

Brenda was preceded in death by her father, James Rolland Spargur; mother, Helen Jean Thompson; brother, Raymond James Spargur; sister, Carolyn Raffl; in-laws, Marvin and Frances Weber.

Brenda was survived by husband, Christopher Thomas Weber, children; Samantha (Gordon) Hinders, Kyle Stricker, James Anderson, Megan Weber, Roger Weber, grandchildren, Mabel & Eli Hinders, Dean Anderson, Rylan and Atreyu Weber, and current mom and dad James and Mary Raffl, sister, Shelley Raffl, nephew Chad Spargur Richardson, niece Kacie Sikveland (Rex Sikveland), brother-in-law’s David (Tennille) Weber, Tony (Jodi) Roberg, stepbrothers and stepsisters and all of the Hallcroft family.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 15, 2026 at 10am at the First Baptist Church in Basin, Wyoming with Pastor Aaron Gertsch officiating with a reception to follow.
