Christiana Klara Wessel, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, passed away peacefully in Worland, Wyoming on December 22, 2025 at the age of 84. She was born on June 9, 1941 in Kemnitz, Germany to Walter and Charlotte (Lohman) Schulz.

In 1963 she moved to Las Vegas, Nevada where her and Clinton Wessel raised their children, Barbie and Patricia and built a life filled with creativity, warmth, and love. She was one of the original founders of the German American club in Las Vegas, Nevada. She had a gift for bringing people together and was famous for hosting epic celebrations that were lively, spirited, and talked about long after they ended.

She carried with her a rich heritage that shaped her artistry, her work ethic, her love for gardening, cooking, but most of all her love of family.

She had a remarkable eye for beauty and detail in everything she touched. Whether she was sewing, creating art, or gardening she transformed everything she touched into something special, and her hands were always busy making something meaningful. She was also an exceptional cook, known for meals that brought people together and recipes that became family tradition, often blending her German roots with the comfort of home.

Her home was a place of comfort, laughter, and love, and her presence made everyone feel welcome.

She will be remembered for her strong spirit, generous heart, and the many beautiful things she created both with her hands and through the family she raised. Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched and the memories she leaves behind.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Bernhart Schulz.
