Christina Dawn Rhoads

Christina Dawn (Umbach) Rhoads 62 passed from this life to a glorious walk with the Lord on December 2, 2011.

She was born to Newell and Dorothy (Bratton) Umbach on September 5, 1949, in Turner Valley, Alberta, Canada. The family moved to Wyoming in 1966 where Christie graduated from NCHS in 1968.

She married Harvey Emerson Rhoads (Chip) on August 31, 1968. Their marriage was blessed with three children: Clinton Harvey Rhoads (Roxanne) of Reno, NV; Kimberly Gwen Rhoads of Green Bay, WI; and Christopher Newell Rhoads of Casper, WY. Their lives were further enlightened by their grandchildren, Cody Olson, Nolan Rhoads, Cedar Olson and Sage Rhoads.

Shortly after taking their vows, Chip and Christie made their home in Worland, Wyoming. Christie adored her family. Her passion was in helping others and gardening. Christie was loved by all who came into her shop, TLC Hair Designs, and she was devoted to her church.

Christie was preceded in death by her parents; Newell and Dorothy, her grandmother who helped raise Christie from an early age, Marge, and her brother, Wayne. She is survived by her loving husband, children and grandchildren, brothers Eric (Rick) Umbach of Gillette, WY, Kenneth Umbach of Dallas, TX, and sisters Donna Ward of Casper, WY, and Jennifer McIntyre of Casper, WY. Christie also leaves behind several precious nieces and nephews, many cousins and multiple friends who will miss her very much.
