Obituary
Debra Lynn Paepke
August 21, 1952- April 16, 2022
Debra Lynn Paepke, 69, passed away peacefully, with her sister by her side on April 16, 2022
at the Worland Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.
She was the oldest of seven children born to Gerald Lyston and Loma "Mickey" Mae (Reeves) Kellogg in Saginaw, Michigan on August 21, 1952. As the oldest, Debra became a mother figure from a young age. She helped care for her siblings, even when they didn't ask for help. After her mother passed in 1977, she took on that parent role once again. The responsibility at times felt overwhelming, but she felt it was her duty to keep the family running.
Debra suffered a stroke at age 39 and her life was forever changed.
Debra loved deeply and freely. She had a free spirit that was hard to tie down. Her last marriage was to Leroy Paepke in Howard City. Together they drove from Howard City to Coral for work. Once again, Debra's spirit wasn't set up to be married. After her divorce, she moved into a retirement village where she was able to spend time with new friends, play cards, pool, Eucre, and she even tried her hand at bowling.
In 2015, she moved to Wyoming to be near her sister and cared for. She loved being outdoors in Wyoming, having bonfires and looking for deer and wild horses. She wanted to hunt but wasn't able to. She cherished her time with her sisters and will always be remembered for her quick wit and spunky attitude.
Debra is preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Dyanne Fauver and Carol Barajas Kellogg; and brothers, William Kellogg and Kenneth Kellogg.
She is survived by her sisters, Kathy (James) Boswell of Williamstown, Kentucky and Jeanette (Steve) Berk of Worland and also many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
Cremation has taken place and no formal services are planned at this time. Online condolences may be made at www.bryantfuneralhomeonline.com.
