Donald Dean Rollins, 75 year old Worland resident, passed away peacefully at his home on March 29, 2009 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Donald was born on December 3, 1933 in Hardin, Montana to Wallace Allen and Verna Mae (Jarvis) Rollins. Don grew up and graduated from Hardin High School in 1952. He went to work for Sawyer’s Market and was transferred for a short time to Livingston, MT before relocating to Casper, still working for Sawyer’s Market. He then took on the manager’s position at the Worland Sawyer’s Market located near where Goyn’s Machine and Automotive Shop is currently. After Sawyer’s went out of business, Don went to work for Jon Maxwell and continued to work for Jon’s IGA for the next 35 years until he retired as assistant manager.

On October 8, 1981, he married Kathe (Gregan) Campbell in Billings, Montana.

Don loved to fish and hunt. He could often be found tinkering on old cars or working in his shop. He was a work-a-holic. Spending time with his grandchildren was a top priority, once you handed him a baby, you knew you would have to be on the way out the door to retrieve them back.

He is preceded in death by his parents, one infant brother; brothers: David, Steven, Timothy, Clarence, Wallace, Daniel and Ronald; and one daughter, Carmen.

Don is survived by his wife Kathe; sons: James (Phadera) Campbell of Worland; Pat (Tawni) Campbell of Deer Lodge, MT; Alex (Heather) Campbell and Steve (Ashley) Rollins, all of Worland; daughter: Molly (Tony) Hixon, of Phoenix, AZ; brothers: Jerry, Robert (Lisa) of Deer Lodge, MT, and Stanley (Lila) of Warm Springs, MT; one sister: Iris Lilley of UT; 14 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren and numerous
