Donald Manuel Weglin 69 year old, Worland resident, died on September 28, 2008 at St. Vincent Hospital in Billings, Montana. He has been struggling for years with a heart condition and cancer.

Don was born in Bayard Nebraska a son of Manuel & Lillian (Hauf) Weglin. He received his education in Huntley, Wyoming, during his high school years he enjoyed participating in school sports. He then attended Torrington College for two years. After his graduation he worked for many of the Torrington area farms as a farm hand. In 1970 the family moved to Worland where Don worked for his father in law on the family farm. In 1978, Don moved to town and started his carpentry business which he continued until the time of his death.

He enjoyed visiting with people, spending time with friends at the coffee shop, listening to music and singing. Don loved his work, collecting items and taking short road trips.

He is preceded in death by his father, one son Michael, two sisters Judy and Cathy.

He is survived by his mother Lillian of Basin, children Tom (Barbara) Weglin, Jerry Weglin both of Dewey, Arizona, Sherri (Sam) Worley of Worland and Mark Weglin of Spearfish, SD. Six grandchildren, Derek, Brandy, Kip, Alexis, Brandon and Addison, one nephew Troy Smith, and long time friend Lillian Dillinger.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 2, 2008 at Bryant Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Sam Torrez officiating. Bryant Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
