Donna Jean Hall
December 30, 1949- September 15, 2025
Donna Jean Hall, 75, of Worland, Wyoming, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on September 15, 2025, at St. Vincent's Hospital in Billings, Montana.
She was born on December 30, 1949, in Lordstown, Ohio, to Isaac Noble and Della Irene (Sampson) Best. Donna graduated from Newton Falls High School in 1967. On December 20, 1968, she married Lawrence Erwin Hall, and together they raised two children. They were married for 27 years until his passing in July 1996.
Donna is survived by her daughter, Stacy (David) Kissner of Worland, WY; granddaughters, Briana Hall of Worland, WY, and Madison Hall of Warren, OH, and grandson, Ittai Kissner of Worland, WY. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lawrence; her daughter, Tracy Hall; her sisters, Mary Lou Best, Clara Belle Best, Lucille Imhoff, and Pauline Ingram; and her brothers, Ray Best and Noble Best Jr.
Donna had many joys in life, including being part of a bowling league with her husband, canning and baking for her family, and traveling to favorite destinations such as Las Vegas and California. She especially treasured time spent with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed reading, playing games, and was always ready for a round of canasta or Skip-Bo. Donna could often be found playing canasta with her sister, Lucille—sometimes until the sun came up in the early hours of the morning.
She spent over 30 years as an Assistant Manager with Lawson's, Dairy Mart, and Circle K in Newton Falls, Ohio, where she was known for her strong work ethic and warm personality. Donna was always up for an adventure—especially the time she agreed to go camping in the Sierra Nevada mountains of California, not realizing it would involve a 4x4 road, a hike up a dam, and a canoe trip across a lake to reach camp. Despite walking with a cane and not knowing how to swim, she was a trooper through it all.
In 2023, Donna and her granddaughter Briana moved to Worland, WY, to be near her daughter and family. One of her favorite times was a summer visit to Yellowstone National Park, where she enjoyed seeing Old Faithful and iconic Wyoming animals.
Donna will be remembered for her adventurous spirit, her love of family, and the joy she brought to those around her. Her family finds comfort in knowing she is now with Jesus, reunited with her loved ones who went before her, and made whole with a new body. She will be deeply missed by all who remain.
Cremation has taken place, and a private memorial service will be held in Worland, Wyoming. Donna's ashes will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband, Lawrence, at North Jackson Cemetery in North Jackson, Ohio. Online condolences may be made at www.bryantfuneralhomeonline.com.
