Dorothy Eleanor Farris

Dorothy Eleanor Farris, 71, passed away July 31, 2018 at the Washakie Medical Center.
Dorothy was born in Basin, WY on September 13, 1946 to Maurice Dudley and Ruth (Sublette) Chapman. She grew up and received her education in Basin. In 1998, she returned to Worland from Missouri to take care of her ailing mother. From that time until the time of her death, she lived her life taking care of and doing for others. She pursued that passion in her work with the Red Cross; sewing sundresses for needy children in Africa and making lap quilts for Veterans. She was fondly remembered for the baked goods she would make and give to those around her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Maurice and Ruth Chapman, brothers, Tony Chapman, George Chapman, Brad Chapman, Donny Chapman, "Chaddo" Chapman and sister, Barbara Vigil.
Survivors include daughters: Brenda Wright of Worland, Carrie Carlson of SLC, UT; her sons, John Muller of Green River, Jay Muller of Mitchell, NE, Tommy Kovash of SLC, UT; brother, Gary Chapman of California; sisters, Debbie and husband, Chad Kerr of SLC, UT, Eloise Grisham of Granger, WY, Wanda Snoody of SLC, UT and Tammy and husband, Doug Forsythe of Worland; grandchildren including Savannah and Ashley Williams, Lee Jay, Jessica and Anna Muller, Payton and Phineas Johnson, Abigail and Logan Kovash and nieces and nephews including Bobby, Becky, Brittany, Destiny, Rachel, James, Christopher, Daniel, Justy, Chancey, Amanda, Cassie, Brian and Michelle.
The love for her family was endless. She took care of and handled the healthcare and final arrangements of three of her brothers. Those who knew and loved her will carry her kindness, strength and compassion in their heart and memories always.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date when the family can all gather together.
