Obituary
Florence Margaret Weibel
July 25, 1936- December 22, 2024
Florence Margaret Weibel, 88, passed away peacefully on December 22, 2024 at the Worland Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Worland, Wyoming.
She was born on July 25, 1936 on her family farm in Ranchester, Wyoming and was the youngest of 11 children. She grew up learning the art of cooking from her mother, a skill she would carry throughout her life. She graduated in 1954 from Ranchester High School.
In her early twenties, Florence met Raymond Henry Weibel through mutual friends. The couple fell in love and Raymond knew that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her. Alas, Florence wasn't quite convinced, and she turned him down when he proposed. Raymond, not one to easily give up, persisted and on his second attempt she said "Yes". The two were married in Sheridan, Wyoming on June 28, 1958 and spent 66 beautiful years together.
Florence and Raymond made their home in Worland, where she became an active and devoted member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. She loved the Bible's promises and enjoyed telling others of it. In 1967 her dream of becoming a mother came true when she gave birth to her son, Anthony Glen Weibel. Throughout her life, she was a dedicated wife and mother, always ensuring her family had a warm, home-cooked meal—famously including her beloved buttermilk pie. In her free time, Florence enjoyed completing puzzle books and caring for her home.
Florence was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Pauline Achenbach, Rachel Achenbach, Albert Bitters, Rose Rotellini, Irene Wovin, Alfrieda Williams, Helen Showers, Gladys Madron, Clarence Koch and Adeline Clark.
She is survived by her loving husband, Raymond; son, Anthony Weibel and numerous nieces and nephews.
A service will be held at 1:30 PM January 11, 2025 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Worland, Wyoming. Online condolences may be made at www.bryantfuneralhomeonline.com.
