Fred passed away at Westward Heights in Lander Wyoming. He was blessed and survived by his dear friends, Randy and Robin Griffin of Thermopolis, Wyoming; his children Jane, James (Kay), Jennifer (Bud); grandchildren, Kate, Josh (Michelle); great grandchildren, Sophie and Luke all of Pennsylvania.
Fred was born in Abington, Pennsylvania. His early life was spent in bucolic rural Bucks County. After joining the Marines, Fred started a family and became involved in his local community. He was a Boy Scout Master school board member and Deacon in the church.
Fred worked as a union, carpenter and cabinet maker before retiring to Wyoming to hunt, collect guns, and search the prairie for “treasure”. He would often take his finds to the local museum to discuss and learn about what he had found. Fred was also a gun collector and spent many hours at local gun ranges and gun shows enjoying the company of others with the same interests.
Services for Fred will be held in private.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to a local pet shelter: Lander Pet Connection, 120 Chittim Rd. Lander, WY 82520, or Last Chance Ranch, PO Box 1009, Quakertown, PA 18951.
