Freda Mae Skrettingland

Obituary Freda Mae Skrettingland March 6, 1932- May 27, 2022 Freda Mae Skrettingland, 90, passed away at the Worland Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center on Friday May 27, 2022. She was born in Cheyenne, Wyoming to Everett Vernon and Mary Inez (Terrell) Cheeney on March 6, 1932. At the age of 3, she moved to and lived with her parents on a ranch, south of Ten Sleep. She graduated from Ten Sleep High School in 1950. She married Kyle Skrettingland in October of that same year. They were happily married for 53 years. She enjoyed being a stay-at-home wife and mother. In 1966 their family moved to Cheyenne. She became active in the Eagles. She especially enjoyed being an officer and part of the drill team. Two years after the death of her husband, Kyle, she returned to Worland. In 2019, she moved to and enjoyed living in the Pioneer Home. She especially enjoyed completing word searches, playing bingo and hand and foot. Freda was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Kyle, brother, Don Cheeney and grandson, Justin. She is survived by her brothers, Derald Cheeney of Ten Sleep, WY; Everett (Rosemary) Cheeney of Hanford, CA and Richard "Dick" (Carol) Cheeney of Sheridan, WY; sister, Shirley Lapp of Worland; son, Terrell Skrettingland of Worland; daughters, Arlene (Glen) Heinrich of Worland, and Lynn (Glen) Wilson of Idaho Falls, ID; grandchildren: Rebecca Skrettingland of Cheyenne; Jolie (Jon) Klassen of Fresno, CA; Karissa Mues (Gus Anastopoulous) of Cheyenne; Robert (Jeannie) Heinrich of Hanford, CA and Dustin (Kristal) Heinrich of Hanford; great-grandchildren: George, Ethan, Weston, Isabelle, Claire, Zoe and Ryan and two great-great-grandchildren, Sophia and Lyla. A visitation will be held 3:00 - 4:00 PM, Thursday, June 2, 2022 at the Bryant Funeral Home chapel.
