Gail Snooks

Obituary Gail Snooks June 25, 1954 – April 30, 2019 Gail (Ivie) Snooks, 64 years old, passed away on April 30, 2019 with her loving husband by her side, enjoying their time together. He was her biggest love and enjoyed doing anything and everything with him. Gail was born June 25, 1954 in Provo, Utah to Shirley May (McDonald) and Carlyle B. Ivie. Gail was the 4th of seven children. She grew up in Rawlins, Wyoming and moved to Thermopolis in 1969. Gail met her future husband in 1970 at the A&W in Thermopolis and they were married April 25th, 1972. She graduated from Hot Springs County High School in May of 1972. She had such a caring heart and spent many years alongside her husband while he sheared sheep. Gail had many happy memories that she shared often from this time. She worked in Worland at a flower shop, Radio Shack, A&W, and as a manager at Maverick. On April 19th, 1987, Gail had her first son Jonathon Henry Snooks in Riverton, Wyoming. On September 23, 1988, Gail had her second son Thomas Joel Snooks also in Riverton. Gail and Andy spent many years helping whoever they could help in time of need. They were foster parents as well. Gail always welcomed everyone with open arms even knowing the good, the bad, and the ugly. She loved wholeheartedly. Gail enjoyed quilting, scrapbooking, crafting, spending time with her children, grandchildren, and family. She was devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, sister, and son, Jonathon. Survivors include her husband Andy Snooks of Casper, Wyoming; son, Thomas Joel Snooks (Cassie) of Sheridan, Wyoming; great nephew, Nathaniel Harold of Casper, Wyoming; brothers, Kenneth (Margo) Ivie of Casper, Wyoming, Mike (Shelly) Ivie of Cody, Wyoming; sisters, Delores Fugier of Casper, Wyoming, Kim (Roger) Strecker of Sedalia, Missouri; 12 grandchildren and 2 great- grandchildren. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Saturday, May 4th, 2019 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Thermopolis, Wyoming with Bishop Duane Maddock officiating. Burial will follow at Monument Hill Cemetery.
