Harold Hudson Hazen

Harold Hudson Hazen finished his trail ride on September 12, 2025. Harold was born in Powell, Wyoming on October 22, 1940, to Marian Opal (Pittman) Hazen and Charles Roland Hazen. Harold was raised in the Bighorn Basin and attended school in Manderson, Wyoming. On September 1, 1962, Harold married Diane Milrae (Lauber) Hazen. To this union, four children were born: Elaine (Phil) Birks, Diane (Ron) Downey, Kyle (Lynn) Hazen, and Krystal (Cody) Hazen-McCreary. Harold began his career working at Great Western in Lovell, Wyoming. He was an avid cowboy at heart and had many skills and hobbies. Throughout his life he was a farmer, rancher, welder, mechanic, and ranch hand.

He is survived by his wife; four children; six grandchildren: Cheryl Birks, Scott Birks, Tyler Downey, Michael Downey, Che Miller, and Larissa (Bruce) Winton; one great-granddaughter, Adilynn Winton; sisters, Bev Chapman, Jeannie (Chuck) Kastl; one brother George (Judy) Hazen; one brother-in-law, Bill Kelly, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Harold was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Gary Hazen; brother-in-law, Robert Chapman, and sisters, Marion Kelly and Debbie Hatcher.

The family asks that in lieu of donations, please give to a charity of your choice. A private graveside service will be held at Riverview Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Online condolences may be made at www.bryantfuneralhomeonline.com.
