Oct 11, 1976 — Feb 22, 2021

Obituary James Charles Stamatakos October 11, 1976 – February 22, 2021 James "Jim" Charles Stamatakos, husband, father, son, brother and friend passed away on Monday, February 22, 2021 in Worland, Wyoming at the age of 44. Jim was born on October 11, 1976 in Arvada, Colorado. He was born to Sarantos and Kathleen M. (Shepherd) Stamatakos. He attended Pomona High School in Arvada and received his bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance from Colorado State University (CSU). He retired after a 20-year career with First Bank of Colorado as a Senior Vice President. He met his wife, Holly Dye, at the bank and they married November 18, 2006. Jim and Holly have two beautiful children, Allie and Sam. In 2019, he and his family moved from Colorado to Worland where they built a home and shop. Jim was extremely smart and amazing with numbers. He used to joke that his mind was full of useless information! He could quote any line from 80's movies and had an impeccable memory. He could light up a room with his laugh and smile. Jim seldom met a stranger as he seemed to connect with everyone he met. He loved cars, golf, burnouts, beer, fireworks, 90's rap music and the 4th of July, but his whole world revolved around Holly, Allie and Sam. He was kind, generous and thoughtful to all. He was preceded in death by his father, Sarantos "Sam" Stamatakos. Survivors include his wife, Holly; daughter, Allie; son, Sam; mother, Kathleen Stamatakos; brothers, Jerrod Janakus, Jeff (Jenn) Janakus; In-laws, David and Ruth Dye, Amy (JJ) Hernandez, Laura (Jason) Mocko and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Friday, February 26, 2021 at the Worland Community Center with Pastor Jess Rollema officiating. There will be another memorial service in Colorado at a later date. Memorials may be made for an education fund for his children at Big Horn Federal Bank. Please make checks payable to Stamatakos Children Education Fund and send to PO Box 524, Worland, WY 82401. Online condolences may be made to www.bryantfuneralhomeonline.com.
