Obituary Janet K. Thompson November 8, 1957 – January 17, 2019 Janet K. Thompson passed away on January 17, 2019 after losing a hard-fought battle with cancer. Janet was born November 8, 1957, one of three children of Raymond and Betty (Graham) Chapman of Worland. She lived her entire life in Worland. Janet graduated from Worland High School in 1976. She married Gary Thompson on June 8, 1976 and was blessed with one beautiful daughter, Tara, in the spring of 1977. Janet worked for Stockgrowers State Bank for several years, followed by undoubtedly the job she enjoyed most, working for Ron Sopko at Sunshine Office Products. She then went to work for the school district in the central office. Janet retired in the spring of 2016. Her passions included playing handbells with the Joyful Ringers, water skiing, cross-stitch, travel, and most of all, spending time with family and friends. Janet was proceeded in death by three uncles. Survivors include her husband, Gary, daughter, Tara (John) Busch, grandsons, Koby and Keegan Busch, parents, Raymond and Betty Chapman, sister, Sharon (Bob) Holloway of Guernsey, WY and brother, David (Jill) of Sioux Falls, SD. Following Janet's wishes, no funeral services are planned. Cremation has taken place and a family memorial will be planned at a later date.
