Javier Hernandez-Mendoza, 47, passed away in a vehicle accident on June 17, 2020.
Javier was born on June 13, 1973 in Zimbanguaro, Michoacán, Mexico to Reynaldo and Estella (Mendoza-Maldonado) Hernandez-Cervantes.
Javier moved to the United States in 1982. He worked in California as a laborer in fields, picking fruit, and did mechanic work on the side. In 2007, Javier was wanting a change in pace, so he re-located to Worland, Wyoming. He worked for Vigil's as a farmhand, later he found a job on the oil field working for Stride Oil Company. He was laid off in 2014, which led to his career helping the Miller family as a farmhand until the time of his death.
He married Lorena C. Garcia on August 14, 2014 in Worland. To this union, a daughter, Alondra was born.
Javier loved spending time with his family. He especially enjoyed BBQs, listening to music (any regional Mexican music), fishing and having drinks with friends. He was a phenomenal mechanic and could fix anything you brought him. From cars to beet trucks, he was able to do it all just by listening to the noise the machine made. Javier was a very humble and honest man. He was well respected in his community and kind to everyone. Javier was a very social person who enjoyed visiting with everyone.
