Obituary

Jesse Elmer Wiltsey

August 17, 1935 – January 14, 2026

Jesse "Elmer" Wiltsey, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, passed away at the Billings Clinic in Billings, Montana at the age of 90.

Elmer was born in Sheridan, Missouri, the 17th of August, 1935 to Henry Clarence and Marjorie Ida (Davidson) Wiltsey. Elmer moved to Casper, Wyoming from Missouri when he was young and was raised in Casper with his older brother, Wilber. In 1954, he graduated from Natrona High School in Casper, Wyoming.

Elmer married the love of his life, Frances "Yvonne" Hartman on April 27, 1957. The couple lived in Casper, then settled in Worland where they lovingly raised their two sons, Kirk and Robert.

He worked for Coca-Cola Bottling Company in Casper for 20 years. When he moved to Worland, he went to work for Pepsi Cola as a production manager for 28 years before retiring in 1999. He and Yvonne purchased Hanson Fabrics in 1973. He helped Yvonne with their store when he was not working at Pepsi. In 2007 they created their home business, Elmer & Yvonne's. Yvonne was the face of the business with all her creative talents and Elmer used his learned mechanical skills to repair sewing machines and vacuums. The couple also made custom draperies and blinds for the community and Elmer installed them. They made a wonderful team for over 50 years.

Elmer's pride and joy was his horse and buggy which he proudly displayed in all community parades whenever he could. He also enjoyed fishing and camping up at Shell Reservoir. He cherished the family pets, Chico the dog, Sylvester and Sully, the cats, and his beloved horse, Jet. He really enjoyed taking his tractor out to care for the property year around, no matter the weather conditions. He was always up for a four-wheeling adventure with friends on different trails in the mountains. This adventurous spirit and love for the outdoors left lasting memories for all who were fortunate to share those with him.

Elmer was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Yvonne; son, Kirk Wiltsey; daughter-in-law, Marva Wiltsey; brother Wilber Wiltsey, sister-in-law, Lane Wiltsey and grandson, Tony Brown.

He is survived by his son Robert (Elaine) Wiltsey of Orlando, Florida; sisters-in-law Julie (Jaimie) Ramirez of Worland and Nancy Shultz of Oakwood, Texas; grandchildren, Monte, Zeke and Anthony Wiltsey of Texas; Melissa Coppola of Arizona, Robby Brown and Eddie Massey of Wyoming and Devonna Finch of Ohio as well as 21 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. He was blessed with a large loving family that he enjoyed spending quality time with.

Elmer is a major loss for his friends and family, but is now in peace with God. He was blessed to spend his final days with his son, Rob, grandsons, Anthony and Zeke, his sister-in-law, Julie and niece, Chelsea in Comfort Care in Billings, Montana.
