Jimmie Lea Allen
March 2, 1936 - April 11, 2014
Jimmie Lea Allen 78, long time Thermopolis resident died on April 11, 2014 at the Hot Spring Memorial Hospital.
Jimmie was born on March 2, 1936 in Burlington, Wyoming the youngest son of Eugene Thomas and Beatrice Augusta (Crichton) Allen. He spent his childhood in Burlington and Northern Idaho. His Family moved back to Burlington where he received his education graduating in 1954.
He went to work at the Steel Mine above Lander and then went to Denver where he received his education as a Barber. He worked as a barber in Meeteetse, Wyoming for many years also working some in Worland. Jimmie also worked for the LU Sheep Company.
His greatest joys in life where spent hunting and fishing. He enjoyed cutting firewood and tinkering in his garden. He was a very easy going man and he didn't know a stranger.
He was proceeded in death by his parent, one brother, one sister and son Jimmie Jr.
He is survived by his wife June Ellen Rubis Allen, son Shane and wife Andrea of Cheyenne, two grandchildren Molly and Cole Allen.
Memorial services will be held at 2:30 pm Friday, April 18th 2014 at the Thermopolis Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Church with Bishop Chris Paris officiating. Memorial donations may be made to the Wyoming Game & Fish Disability Hunts in care of Bryant Funeral Home PO Box 524 Worland, WY 82401.
