John P. Aurand Jr. 84 year old Worland resident, died on June 12, 2013 at the Worland Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center after a brief stay.

John was born on June 18, 1928 in Carlile, Wyoming, a son of John P. Aurand Sr. and Georgia (Baker) Aurand.

He was married to Shirley Page on June 17, 1950 in Sundance. He farmed and ranched with his father and brothers in the Sundance area. In 1957 the family moved to Worland, Wyoming where he worked as a mechanic for Mead and Sons. He later went to work for Admiral Beverage working as a mechanic until retiring in 1993. They raised their son and daughter in Worland. John & Shirley joined the First Baptist Church on Palm Sunday in 1961. John later served for many years as a Deacon of the church.

Hobbies included gardening, raising his own plants, hunting, fishing and canning produce from his garden. Member of the First Baptist Church in Worland. He was a family man, enjoyed being in the outdoors with his family and friends, especially hunting with his son.

He is survived by, son Roger (Karen) Aurand of Cheyenne, WY, daughter, Dolly (Carey) Foos of Farmington, New Mexico, brothers; Vere (Donna) Aurand of Vale, South Dakota, Jim (Sharron) Aurand of Sheridan, WY, granddaughter, Erica (Mark) Perry of Cheyenne, great grandchildren Alexandria, Josephine, Benjamin, and Zebadiah. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife of 56 years Shirley, daughter Wanda Marie in 1960 and 2 sisters.
