John Elmer Robbins

John Elmer Robbins, 70-year-old Worland resident, passed away peacefully on June 30, 2026.

John was born on July 31, 1955 in Powell, Wyoming to Bain Lagard and Elenore “Nonnie” (Hiemer) Robbins. While growing up he attended school in Powell, graduating from Powell High School in 1975. John continued to live and work in Powell throughout his adult life. Later as needed, John left working in the community to assist in providing care for both his parents Bain and Nonnie until their passing in 2002 and 2011. John continued to live in Powell until he moved to Worland in 2019.

It was common to see John standing in front of his house in Powell or his apartment in Worland waving to folks as they passed by. He enjoyed attending local Football, Basketball, and Wrestling as a pastime. He enjoyed family picnics and family reunions. He walked many miles with his best buddy Oddie, the Pug.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Elva Kauffman; brothers, Marty and Gary Robbins. Survivors include many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life with a picnic will be held at Kawanis Park in Worland, Wyoming, August 1, 2026, from noon until 2 pm.
