Kathleen Irons, 61, passed away at Billings Clinic in Billings, MT on December 12, 2019, shortly after being diagnosed with late-stage cancer. Kathy was born on June 24, 1958 in Neptune, New Jersey to Floyd Stanley and Clara Evelyn (Pharo) Irons. In 1974, she moved with her family to live and work on ranches in Southeastern Montana. She also lived and worked in several surrounding communities including, Ashland, Forsyth, and Miles City. In 1991, Kathy moved to Ten Sleep, WY. She worked at many places including Deer Haven Lodge, the Mountain Man Café, The Town of Ten Sleep and the Ten Sleep Senior Center. She also worked for the United States Postal Service in Ten Sleep and Hyattville, most recently working at Paintrock Processing in Hyattville. She absolutely loved working and living in the small, tight knit, communities of Ten Sleep and Hyattville, where she enjoyed meeting and conversing with everyone. She was a professional volunteer, helping many organizations, including the Helping Hands Club. Ten Sleep's 4th of July Fireworks Display and placing American Flags at the cemetery on Memorial Day were events she never missed. She was very passionate about her family, especially her son and grandchildren. She would do everything she could to be there to support her son during special events, his education, and sports that he participated in. She rarely missed any events he was involved in whether at home or away and was known for following the sports bus all over the state. She loved reading books, keeping a notebook filled with the titles of books she had read over the years. She was an avid crafter where she enjoyed crocheting and quilting. She would travel to nearby places to display her work. She was preceded in death by her father. Kathy is survived by her mother, Clara Irons, son, Zackary (Robyn) Irons of Greeley, Colorado; brother, Chuck Irons of Ten Sleep, WY; sister, Georgett (James) Steele of Rapid City, SD; and grandchildren, Avery and Ashton. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
