Kay (Gentilini) Underwood passed away in Billings, Montana on December 13, 2025, surrounded by her family.

She was born on October 28, 1942, to Louis and Margaret Louise (Tikalsky) Tomjack in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. She lived in Quealy and Rock Springs, Wyoming before moving to Worland, Wyoming. She was the youngest of four siblings; Harold Tomjack, Carol Tomich and Peggy Stolp.

Kay married Leonard Gentilini, they later divorced, and to this union six children were born: Dave (Mary) Gentilini of Worland, Wyoming; Lenna (Gentilini) Chapa, Leonard F. Gentilini, Michael (Anne Marie Verke) Gentilini, of Spearfish, South Dakota, Margaret (Andy) Rothluetner of Worland, Wyoming, and Debra K (BJ Salveson) Rowcliffe of Billings, Montana. Kay later married Robert (Bob) Underwood in Cheyenne, Wyoming.

Kay lived in Worland for many years raising her children and working as a cook at Billy's Quick Lunch Café, Rams Horn Café, and the Crossbow. She later moved to Cheyenne, Wyoming where she worked as a cook at Wyatt's Café, Kary Jr. High and the VA Hospital where she retired from.

She was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands, Leonard and Bob; son, Leonard Gentilini; daughter, Lenna Chapa; granddaughters, Jacqueline Gentilini, Marcella Gentilini; and great granddaughter, Mya Gentilini; and all her siblings.

She is survived by her children, David, Mike, Margaret and Debbie; 18 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild.

She loved her family, and they were everything to her. She loved to cook, play cribbage and pinochle.

Cremation has taken place, and a memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2026 at 11:00 at the Bryant Funeral Home Chapel, with Mark (Rosalie) Fitzlaff officiating. Online condolences may be made at www.bryantfuneralhomeonline.com.
