Lola June (Burton) Buckner

June 26, 1937 – December 30, 2024

Lola June Buckner, 87, of Thermopolis, Wyoming, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on December 30, 2024.

Lola was born on June 26, 1937 in Hyannis, Nebraska. She was the daughter of Clyde and Fern Marie (Wright) Burton. Lola was raised in Nebraska and later moved to Wyoming, where she raised her family.

In her younger years, Lola loved to dance and later she enjoyed fishing and camping at Sunshine Reservoir, gardening, canning and making homemade pickles. She enjoyed watching the hummingbirds in her yard and loved spending time with her family. She was always their biggest fan.

Lola was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Buckner; sons, James and Rob Buckner; daughter, Patricia Endicott. Survivors include Bruce Self, her loving significant other of 40 years; daughter, Mary Jo of Wyoming; son, Wayne Buckner of Nebraska; daughter-in-law, Monica Buckner; many grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
