Obituary Margaret Lynell Sanders July 25, 2018 Margaret Lynell Sanders passed away at her home in Basin, Wyoming on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at the age of 81. Lynell was born June 26, 1937 to Richard Eaton and Grace Margaret (McKinney) Farthing. Lynell grew up on a ranch at Mill Creek with two siblings, brother, Paul and sister, Naomi. She attended school in Mill Creek and Lander. At the age of 12 the family moved to a ranch outside of Lander. She graduated from Lander in 1954. She met Howard Neal Grouns and they were married the spring of 1954. This marriage brought 2 sons and one daughter. They made their home wherever the oilfield took them. Howard passed away in 1968 as a result of a work over rig accident. That fall Lynell enrolled into the Wyoming Beauty Academy in Riverton. Lynell met and married Kenneth Leon Sanders on December 4, 1970. The couple made their home in Lander. She worked for Ben Franklin in Lander for 26 years, retiring in 2006. In September of 2007 she relocated to Basin to be closer to family. Lynell enjoyed sewing, making crafts, photography, hunting, fishing and camping. She loved spending time with family and friends. She was a compassionate and caring person, she was loved by many and will be dearly missed. She was preceded in death by her mother, Grace, father, Richard, her husbands, Howard Grouns and Kenny Sanders, a daughter, Bethany Grouns and brother-in-law, Timothy Sullivan. Survivors include her sons, David (Debbie) Grouns, and Dean Grouns; brother, Paul (Kate) Farthing; sister, Naomi Sullivan; 5 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a very special friend, Diane Wilson. Graveside services will be held 1:00 p.m. August 26, 2018 at the Mountain View Cemetery in Riverton, Wyoming. Memorial donations may be made to the South Big Horn County Senior Center c/o Bryant Funeral Home P.O. Box 524 Worland, WY 82401.
