Marguerite Ahlberg, 78 year old, Worland resident, died on September 22, 2008 at the Washakie Medical Center in Worland.

She was born on September 30, 1929 in Toledo, Ohio to Andrew and Ida Johnson Shields. When she was 3 the family moved to Charlevoix, Michigan. Two years after graduating from high school, she came to Wyoming to work and be with friends. She met her husband, Marty Martinez and they made their home in Buffalo, Wyoming for several years. After divorcing she moved to Worland where she raised her family.

She met Bart Ahlberg in Worland, and they were later married and continued to make Worland their home. Marguerite owned and operated the Triangle M Trailer Park and Apartments which she ran until she was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis. In the past two years this disease has kept her from doing the things she loved.

Her hobbies included, writing poetry and being privileged of having several poems published nationally; she loved the outdoors spending time in the mountains, watching birds, and stamp collecting.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her three brothers, Andrew, Melvin, Peter and two nephews.

She is survived by her son, Kevin (Ronda) Martinez, daughter, Cathie (Ron) Hill, her granddaughters and grandson, Amber and David Ray, K'Lee, Shandyi and BreeAnna Martinez and her great-granddaughter Mackenzie Ray all of Worland, Wyoming. Her sister, Elverta Sutton of Walled Lake, Michigan, sister in law, Anna Valdez of Casper, Wyoming and many nieces and nephews of Wyoming, California and Michigan, all of whom were very special to her.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 28, 2008 at the Bryant Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Shaun Matako officiating. Memorial donations may be made to the Arthritis Foundation in care of Bryant Funeral Home PO Box 524 Worland, WY 82401.
