Marion Renner, 91 year old Livingston, Montana resident passed away January 1, 2005 at the Frontier Care Center in Livingston.
Marion was born in Fenton, Wyoming on March 17, 1913, to George and Kristensa (Neilsen) Renner, the sixth of 11 children. He grew up on the Renner Family Ranch on the Greybull River and worked there most of his life until he moved to live with his brother, Bill, in Livingston, MT in 1973 where he worked for neighboring ranchers. He attended school in Fenton, Wyoming. During his later years, Marion lived at the Frontier Care Center in Livingston where he developed many friendships.
In addition to working on the ranch, Marion also enjoyed the outdoors and was always willing to saddle up the horses and take his nieces and nephews riding. Marion left them with many happy childhood memories of the time they spent with him on the ranch. He loved to visit with people of all ages, and was a friend to everyone he came in contact with. Kids up and down the Greybull River would describe him as “jolly” and memorable.
Marion was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Clifton, Bill, Everett and Hoover Renner; and sisters: Daisy Love, Etta Hillberry, Carsie Peterson, Georgie Hillberry and Virginia LeMaster.
He is survived by his brother, Thomas A. “Tuff” Renner of Meeteetse, as well as several nieces and nephews.
