Marty Ramos Montoya
December 1, 1967- May 16, 2026
Marty Ramos Montoya, 58, passed away on May 16, 2026, after a long and difficult battle with health issues over the past three years.
Marty was born on December 1, 1967, in Worland, Wyoming, to Mike and Marilyn Montoya.
From a young age, Marty developed a strong work ethic while working construction alongside his father and brother. He later spent several years working as a welder, a trade that reflected his skill, determination, and hands-on nature. Over the years, he also operated both a curbing business and a painting business, taking pride in working for himself. After experiencing health issues, Marty transitioned into bus driving, continuing to work hard and adapt despite life's challenges.
Marty was one of the strongest people we knew. No matter what life threw at him, he continued to push through with determination and resilience. His greatest accomplishments and the source of his greatest pride were his three beautiful daughters.
Marty married Debra Rowcliffe, and together they had three daughters: Myranda, Marissa, and Mariah. Though they later parted ways, they shared many years and memories together. Marty later married Emily Logan. While they eventually separated, they remained close friends.
Marty will be remembered for his sharp wit, quiet nature, and deep passion for the things he loved most. He loved video games and could spend hours immersed in them, always appreciating both the challenge and escape they offered. He was also a devoted fan of 80s rock music, and the soundtrack of that era was never far from him.
Marty loved Mountain Dew, sweet treats, football, and muscle cars. He was especially passionate about classic and muscle cars and could talk endlessly about different makes, models, engines, and performance details. His knowledge of cars was impressive, and he seemed to know every detail about the classics he admired most.
He also had a remarkable knowledge of history, with an ability to recall dates, events, and facts that could turn any conversation into an interesting story or lesson. Quick-witted and intelligent, he had a sense of humor that could catch people off guard and leave them laughing.
Marty was caring, funny, stubborn at times, and fiercely independent. Though he often kept to himself, those who truly knew him understood the depth of his character and loyalty. He always believed in God and made sure his daughters knew about Jesus, faith, and the importance of believing.
Marty was blessed with a large and loving family. During his illness, his family showed up for him in countless ways and supported him through everything.
He is survived by his mother, Marilyn Montoya; his siblings, Mike (Tammy) Montoya, Marla (Bob) Edwards, Mareena (Scott) McClure, and Angie (Terry) Ivie, his daughters, Myranda, Marissa, and Mariah; along with many cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Mike Montoya Jr.
He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all whose lives he touched. His strength, humor, intelligence, and love for his family will never be forgotten.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday May 30, 2026 at Zion's Church with Reverend James Byers officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Worland. Online condolences may be made at www.bryantfuneralhomeonline.com.
