Ten Sleep

Michael “Mikey” Lee Richardson Jr. passed away on Oct 20, 2012 leaving a huge hole in the hearts of his family and friends. He was 26 years old.

Mikey was born in Santa Cruz, CA on June 3, 1986. He spent much of his childhood in California before moving to Wyoming. He attended both middle and high school in Ten Sleep, where he excelled in sports, in particular basketball where he was selected to the All-State team his senior year. He graduated from Ten Sleep High School in 2004 and went on to attend and play basketball for one year at Northwest Community College in Powell, WY.

Most recently, Mikey was working in Worland and living happily in a creek-side cabin in Ten Sleep. He spent much of his free time in the Big Horn Mountains and truly loved the Wyoming outdoors. He was always up for a hike or fishing trip. Mikey loved sharing music, especially running the jukebox and playing the guitar. More than anything, Mikey loved to have fun and be with his family and friends. He will be missed and remembered for his contagious laugh, heart of gold, and happy-go-lucky, fun-loving nature.

He was preceded in death by his great grandmother Helen Starr of Ten Sleep.

Mikey is survived by his father and step-mother Mike and Crystal Richardson of Ten Sleep, WY, mother Tamara Richardson of Sacramento, CA, brother Tommy (Channa) Richardson of Billings, MT, and grandparents Gordon and Nancy Richardson of Worland, WY and Carl and Imogene Murphy of Citrus Heights, CA, as well as three step-siblings, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins.
