Norma Elaine Bennett

Norma Elaine Bennett, 83-year-old long-time Greybull resident, passed away on October 13, 2018 at the Bonnie Bluejacket Memorial Nursing Home.
Norma was born on December 11, 1934 in Grand Island, Nebraska to Harold Arthur and Annette Isabell (Springer) Rose. She married Miles William Bennet on June 6, 1953 in Greybull, WY. To this union were born 5 children, Miles, Trudy, Guy, Paul and Todd.
Above everything Norma ever did throughout her life, she dearly loved her family and being with them. She enjoyed a good laugh and liked to have fun. She loved to go camping and having family and friends around. She was a dedicated mother, wife and friend. Being around people was a joy for her and she loved to travel and experience new things and places. Norma made many beautiful things with knitting, sewing and cross-stitch. She lovingly made these items until her health would no longer permit it. Norma was always willing to lend a helping hand and enjoyed her volunteer time.
In her younger years, she was active in Jobs Daughters and was a past honored Queen. She was a member of the Honor Society and Pep Club. Playing the saxophone, she marched with the Greybull High School Band. Later in life she was active with the United Methodist Women and was a member of PEO for 20 years. Other activities included her membership in the Elk's Does and she served on the Senior Citizen's Board for 12 years, serving 6 of those years as president.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Ralph Rose
Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Miles; children, Miles (Julie) Bennett of Buffalo, WY, Trudy (Claude, Jr.) Craft of Basin WY, Guy (Jan) Bennett of Powell. WY Paul Bennett of Casper, WY and Todd (Monica) Bennett of Rock Springs, WY; grandchildren, Evan (Courtney) Bock, Katie (Fazio Frank), Miles (Crystal) Bennett, Wesley (LeAnn) Bennett, Erin (Lee) Study, Dane Bennett, Whitney (Josh) Knutson, Shelby (Greg) Vircks, Aleshia (Seth) Lee, Shaya (Jack) Weimeister, Wacey Craft; great-grandchildren: Delaney, Blakely, Jack, Brook, William, Matthew, Harper, Easton, Buskin, Rachel, Kyara, Bennett, Ryan, Kaiden, Palmer, Sawyer and Carder.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 20, 2018 at the First Baptist Church in Basin with Pastor Karin Lovgren from the United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will follow at the Donald Ruhl Cemetery in Greybull. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the church. Memorial donations may be made to the South Big Horn Senior Center or The Bonnie Bluejacket Memorial Nursing Home c/o Bryant Funeral Home, PO Box 524, Worland, WY 82401.
