Patricia “Pat” Kathleen Maschke

Patricia "Pat" Kathleen Maschke, aged 78, passed away on Sept 12, 2020 in Casper Wyoming. She was preceded in death by her parents.  Survivors include her husband of 39 years, Robert Maschke, her children, Tricia, Marcus, Jesse and Thomas, 8 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. Pat was born on September 15, 1941 in Chehalis, Washington, the only child born to Phillip Arthur and Flora Kathleen (McGonigle) Thompson.  She was a graduate of William Miller High School of Olympia, Washington and received a Bachelor's degree in Education from Central Washington State College and a Master's degree from Portland State University.  Pat's main calling in life was as an educator. She taught all ages K-12 for 33 years.  Over her lifetime Pat cultivated many talents and interests. She was a highly accomplished seamstress and quilter. As an avid gardener, she put much time and effort into the planning and harvesting of her garden. She also enjoyed square dance, reading, water coloring, photography, temple work & genealogy. She loved to travel visiting the northeastern tip of Nova Scotia, many, many National Parks, and the Far East, including Korea and China. As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints she gave many hours of her time to build up the kingdom of God on earth. Funeral services will be held at 10:30, Saturday, September 19 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, located at 625 S 10th St, Thermopolis, WY 82443. Gravesite dedication will immediately follow at the Monument Hill Cemetery 105 Airport Rd, Thermopolis, WY 82443.
