Patrick Eugene Boehmke

Jul 3, 1943 — Jul 12, 2026

Worland, Wyoming

Patrick “Gene” Eugene Boehmke, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, was welcomed into heaven on July 12, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.

Gene was born on July 3, 1943, in San Diego, California. Following his service in the Army and graduation from San Diego State University, Gene enjoyed a successful career with CATERPILLAR, ultimately serving as Director of Human Resources. He took great pride in his work and in the people he served. His career not only reflected his strong character and leadership but also created opportunities that became a lasting gift to his family.

He shared 50 beautiful years of marriage with the love of his life, Marcia Lynn Boehmke. Their marriage was a testament to loyalty, commitment, and love. He was a devoted husband who treasured the life they built together.

To his family, Gene was so much more than a grandfather, he was their biggest supporter, their greatest encourager, and their number one fan. He loved deeply and intentionally, making sure those around him knew they were loved. He was loyal, loving, and tough when he needed to be. He showed his family what it meant to stand by the people you love. Gene had a passion for life and enjoyed traveling, fishing, golfing, good whiskey, music, collecting, and celebrating the things he loved. But above all those things, nothing brought him more joy than being a husband and a grandpa. He took immense pride in watching his family grow and especially loved creating memories with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Gene also loved the outdoors and worked to protect it, helping establish the “Wind River Chapter” of Pheasants Forever. As an Army veteran, he also found great purpose in serving fellow veterans through “Hunting with Heroes Wyoming”. Whether he was volunteering his time, mentoring others, or quietly lending a hand, Gene was always present.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Marcia Lynn Boehmke; his children, Chris Pebbles & wife Arinda, Tamara Colbert, and Tiffany Leclair; his grandchildren, Kyle Pebbles & wife Hannah, Brianna Baker & husband Nakoa, Dulce Pebbles & Courtney Pebbles; his great-grandchildren, Brynn Hernandez, Abel Pebbles, Michael Pebbles, Quest Baker, Oaklynn Baker, and Memphis Baker; his siblings, Russell Boehmke and Nancy Myer; and extended family, including Terrie Pebbles, Dennis Murphy, and his OEB Family.

Gene leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, dedication, and family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, but his impact will continue through the generations of family who were blessed to call him theirs.

A celebration of Gene’s life will be held on August 7th, 2026 at Hot Springs Country Fair Grounds 5pm MT.

In lieu of traditional gifts, our family would love for those who knew and loved Gene to share a piece of his legacy with us. If you have a favorite photograph with Grandpa or a special memory, story, or moment you shared with him, we would be honored to have you send it to us or bring your memories to his celebration.
