Obituary

Quintal Albert Arnold

December 6, 1984 – June 13, 2023

Quintal Albert Arnold, 38, passed away at the University of Utah Hospital, Salt Lake City, Utah following a brief illness.

Quintal was born on December 6, 1984 in Boise, Idaho, the fourth child born to Kelly LeVere and Mary Jane (Egbert) Arnold. He grew up in Kuna, ID, a small farming community, where he learned hard work by helping on the farm and taking care of his four younger brothers. His family consisted of eight rambunctious boys. As a youth, he participated in soccer, track, and FFA. He excelled in FFA, going to national conventions and receiving an FFA college scholarship. Quintal became an Eagle Scout and learned how to fix a Volkswagen golf car to drive around. After high school, Quintal went on a two year Spanish speaking mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Concepcion, Chile where he served and loved the people.

After returning from his mission in Chile, he started dating Kami Joy Peterson. Their love grew quickly, and they were married on June 16, 2006 in the Idaho Falls, Idaho temple where they were sealed for eternity. He always loved making her laugh every day, continually finding ways to care for her and show how much he loved her. Quintal attended Brigham Young University – Idaho and developed his deep love of learning and applied his ambition to several jobs in order to provide for his family. He always dreamed of becoming a father and when Carter was born in 2007, his dream became a reality. Bridger was born in 2009, doubling the fun. Quintal was very dependable and punctual. If he needed to do something, he wanted to get it done as soon as he possibly could.

Quintal graduated with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education in 2011 and moved his family to Worland, Wyoming where he loved teaching 5th grade for six years at Eastside Elementary. Chase was born in 2012 and Ryker in 2015, adding more laughter and love to the family. Quintal enjoyed being an assistant girl's high school soccer coach as well as coaching the girl's middle school soccer team. He graduated with his master's degree in Bilingual Education in 2016 and became the school district's elementary ELL teacher at all three elementary schools. He pursued his passion for learning, graduating with his Doctorate degree in Leadership Education and Administration in 2021 and became a reading specialist. Serving anyone who needed help and seeing children learn and grow, brought him daily satisfaction and happiness.

Quintal and Kami continued to grow their family with Teriq and Teagan being born in 2017 and 2018. Kaybrielle, his princessita tan bonita, was born in 2022. He loved being a dad and dedicated himself to his family, teaching his boys to work hard while having a great attitude, to love learning, serve others, and to stay strong in their faith. Every day after school, he worked right alongside his boys. He called them his right-hand men. He loved making everyone laugh with his positive sense of humor and tried to encourage all he knew to believe in themselves. Quintal volunteered to serve others whenever he had a chance and was always looking for ways to help make others' lives easier for them. The diverse talents and knowledge he learned throughout his life were utilized in his service, allowing him and his family to fix, repair, build, and maintain many things. He loved coaching his boys' soccer teams and being involved with Boy Scouts. Quintal actively participated in his church and served faithfully in many callings where he gained mentors and friends. He led his family in scripture study and prayer every day, made sure to have family home evening every week, took his family to the temple each month, and shared his testimony in words and through his actions.

Most of all, Quintal showed charity to all he met. His love for the Savior and his love for his family showed in everything he did.

He was preceded in death by an infant son, Teriq Albert Arnold.
