Ralph Thomas Seghetti

Aug 23, 1942 — Feb 28, 2018

Worland

It is with great sadness that the family of Ralph Thomas Seghetti announces his passing on Wednesday, February 28, 2018, at Washakie Medical Center in Worland, Wyoming, he was 75 years old.

Ralph was born in Buffalo, Wyoming but he lived most of his life in Worland. He was the oldest of seven children born to Sevilla (Smith) Seghetti and Jack Omaro Seghetti. He graduated from Worland High School in 1960 and went on to learn paint and body work in Cheyenne, Wyoming. After spending several years in paint and body shops, including owning his own shop in both Worland and Chandler, Arizona, Ralph went into police work.

Serving with Law Enforcement for nearly 20 years, Ralph began as a police officer in Worland, moved into the city investigator position, and then proudly served as the Sheriff of Washakie County for the last 12 years of his career. He loved serving the community in this capacity. His family was very proud of all that he accomplished.

Ralph was married to Pam Seghetti in 1985 and with Ralph’s three girls and one son and Pam’s four boys they successfully created a large blended family. There are now 26 grandkids and 14 great-grandkids. Ralph also had four fur babies that he loved and were his constant companions.

Ralph enjoyed several outdoor activities throughout his life with his family. He loved racing cars (with a few wins, a few near misses, and even a death-defying accident that took off a smidgen of his thumb). He often took his family water-skiing and camping. Later in his life, you could find Ralph and Pam touring the country in their RV or in the back country on their 4-wheelers. His biggest regret was that he didn’t get to go fishing one more time!

Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Sevilla Seghetti, his sister, Janet Matheson, and a brother-in-law, Dick Sheesley.

Ralph is survived by a large family including his daughters: Marty (John) Kennedy of Kailua-Kona, Hawaii, Tammy (Danny) Bertsch of Worland, Holly (Clint) Colvin of Moscow, Idaho, and sons: Scott (Ilka) Seghetti of Worland, Corey (Toni) Winters of Worland, Kerby (Deena) Winters of Vale, Oregon, Kyle (Windy) Winters of Lake Jackson, Texas, and Kasey (Krista) Brown of Lumberton, Texas, sister: Virginia Sheesley of Worland and brothers: Maurice (Bonnie) Seghetti of New River, Arizona, David (Susan) Seghetti of Worland, Jimmy Seghetti of Moss Point, Mississippi, and Wesley (Kitty) Seghetti of Anoka, Minnesota.
