Worland—Raul Richard Sanchez, 55, was called home to be with our Father in Heaven Sept. 21st 2009 at Washakie Memorial Hospital in Worland Wyoming.

He was born August 25th 1954 in Worland Wyoming the son of Rutilio (Rudy) & Ruth (Cuca) Sanchez.

Raul married Yolanda Clouse of Casper WY. On July 4, 1969 of which one daughter is survived, Zuzu Sanchez; on February 13, 1974 he married Mary Vigil of Weldon Co., of which four children are survived Daniel, Marcus (Tammy), Rosalita (Tomas), & Tattoo (Eida) Sanchez. Raul married Patricia Kay Woods November 26, 1990 in Worland WY., of which one son is survived, Thomas Sanchez.

Raul’s strong work ethic began at the age of twelve as he labored in the beat fields and later moved onto working at a meat processing plant at the age of 14 that led to becoming a supervisor. He began work at BJ Hughes in 1974 until 1978; He then worked for Crown Cork & Seal from 1978 until 1997 when he retired due to medical complications.

Raul loved restoring and cruising old cars and motorcycles, enjoyed the biker lifestyle and had lots of Good riding times. Most of all he loved his children, “Which all were good kids, enjoyed life, love , laughter, believed in the Good Lord”. “My Lord, I thank You for everything You have done for me, I love You.”

He is also survived by his wife Patricia Kay Sanchez, two brothers John and Reuben Sanchez, and numerous precious nieces, nephews and relatives. Raul enjoyed and loved his grandkids very much especially Abbi, Izzy, Heaven, Michael, Matt, Darian, and Kaden.

He was always community minded and had a special place in his heart for those less fortunate, and he was never afraid to express himself.

Dad just wanted everybody to know…. “He appreciated his good friends whom he cared deeply for.” For You Dad …

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, September 25, 2009 at St Mary Magdalen Catholic Church in Worland with Father Jim Heiser and Father Michael officiating. The Prayer Vigil will be held on Thursday evening at 7:00 pm at the church. Burial will follow at Riverview Memorial Garden Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made in care of Bryant Funeral Home for a educational fund for Raul’s grandchildren.
