Richard A. Salcido, 63 year old, Worland resident, died at his home after a yearlong battle with lung cancer on Wednesday, October 20, 2004.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 26th at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of Christ in Worland with Pastor Mike Brush officiating. Burial will follow the service at Riverview Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Washakie County Search and Rescue in care of Bryant Funeral Home PO Box 524 Worland, WY 82401.
Richard was born on February 2, 1941 in Madera, CA to Francisco and Maria “Armenta” Salcido. He received his education in Madera. He was married to Angela Yslas and to this union was born 4 children. They were later divorced. In 1968 he moved to Minot, North Dakota where he managed a car detail shop until 1972, He then moved to Worland, WY where he began working for Vannoy Roofing. Richard later purchased the roofing business.
He was married to Debbie Faul in Worland and to this union was born 3 children. They were later divorced.
He loved to fish and tie flies, hunting and gambling, boating and all outdoor sports. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. His favorite music was soul music by Little Richard. He also enjoyed dancing. He could often be found lending a helping hand to friends and family. He was a faithful member of the Church of Christ in Worland.
He is preceded in death by his parents, 3 sons’, Norbert, Richard Jr., and Tommy, a grandson Benny Garcia, son-in-law Ted Hall, brothers, Rueban, Frank & Gilbert, and his first wife Angela Aldoma.
He is survived by his daughters, Deseree “Jose” Leon of Worland, Ann Renee “Isaac” Ruiz of Tucson, AZ, Michelle “John” Noland, Maria Salcido, Delta “Dave” Ankeny all of Worland. Brother Charlie Salcido of Madera, CA and sister Angie of Los Banos, CA, son-in-law Antonio Deniz, grandchildren; Stephanie (Carlos), Constance, Steffanie, Brandy, Esmeralda, Edreena, Dalilah (Albert), Taylor, Dallas, Robert, Richard, Johnny (Tina), Josh (Erin), Joel, Brandyn, Norbert, Billy, Brian, Wind and Patrick and 12 great grandchildren.
