Robert "Bob" Henry Schell

Robert Henry Schell, 86 year old Basin, Wyoming resident died at St. Francis Hospital in Mountain View, Missouri on June 12, 2006.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 19, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Basin Ward. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. till service time at the church in the Relief Society Room. Burial will follow at Riverview Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Worland.

Bob was born on June 1, 1920 in Alton, Missouri to Loren and Lillie Mae Wilcox. He started driving truck at the age of 14 in Kansas City, Missouri to help support his family after his father’s death in a work accident.

He married Emily Beatrice Stewart in Basin, Wyoming on November 15, 1947 and to this union was born two children. Emily passed away on July 18, 1996. Bob drove truck until he finally retired at the age of 80. He was married to Floy Campfield on January 3, 2004, in Winona, Missouri.

Throughout his life he enjoyed traveling, fishing, horseback riding and visiting. He never met a person that he couldn’t converse with.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Emily of 47 years, ½ sister, Lillian Gertrude Watkins, ½ brother Leamond Shelton, brother’s Glenn Joe Schell and Gordon Frank Schell.

He is survived by his 2nd wife Floy Campfield Schell of Winona, Missouri, sister Jennie Pitcock of West Plains, Missouri, brothers Alfred Lee (Helen) Schell of Kansas City, Missouri, Boyd (Diane) Schell of Lawrence, Kansas, daughter, Sharon (Ray) Peterson of Casper, Wyoming, son, Laroy (Sherri) Schell of Basin, WY, 10 grandchildren and 12 grandchildren. He will be missed by his many friends and family in Missouri and Wyoming, especially his sit/visit buddies at Tom’s Café.
