Roderick Lee Wright, 71 year old Worland resident, died on September 21, 2005 at St Vincent Hospital in Billings, Montana.

Mr. Wright was born on May 27, 1934 in Muskegon, Michigan to Carl & Sarah Wright. He graduated from high school in 1952 in Muskegon Heights, Michigan then entered the military serving in the Army for two years. He then attended Michigan State University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering. Mr. Wright was married to Nancy Holstine on September 11, 1959 in Muskegon Heights, Michigan. He attended Texas A & M where he worked and continued with his studies.

He then went to work for the Soil Conservation Service in Michigan. He transferred to Worland, Wyoming in the spring of 1977 where he continued to work with the Soil Conservation Service as an engineer. He retired in 1989; during this time he enjoyed substitute teaching in the Worland school system and doing odd jobs in the community.

He has been an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, shooting, fishing and riding his motorcycle. He also enjoyed biking, photography, and working as a gunsmith.

He is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Nancy of Worland, sons Patrick & Marta of Granite Quarry, North Carolina, and Eric Wright of Laramie, one brother Carl Wright of Tucson, Arizona and his grandchildren Tara, Shawn, Ryann, Taylor Wright, and John-Michael Smith.
