Obituary Ronald Joe Carswell June 2, 1959- February 2, 2022 Ronald Joe Carswell passed away February 2, 2022, in Thermopolis, Wyoming. Ron was born on June 2, 1959 to Allen and Agatha (Grassl) Carswell in Casper, Wyoming. The family moved to Thermopolis, where he attended school in Hot Springs County and graduated from high school. After school he worked in the oil fields around the area until he started his own business in the 1980's. He operated Ron's Welding and Pump Service until he retired a few years ago due to ill health. He loved the outdoors, fishing and playing pool. He lived and cared for his mother until her later years. He helped anyone who needed it. Ron is survived by his wife, Cheryl "Sammy" Carswell; brothers, Wayne (Kim) Carswell of Thermopolis, Paul (Judy) Carswell of Thermopolis and Kenneth Carswell of Pinedale; sister, Jeannine Barnes of Salmon, Idaho; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and tons of friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; nephew, Ben Barnes; and stepson, Wyatt Sommers. There will be a memorial for Ron at a later date to be announced.
