Ronnie Lee Gladson

Ronnie “Ron” Lee Gladson, 85, passed away at Washakie Medical Center in Worland, Wyoming, on August 30, 2026.

Ron was born on November 20, 1940, in Lusk, Wyoming, to Lynard Asa and Leila Marie (Showalter) Gladson. He grew up in Lusk and graduated from high school in 1960.

At just 16 years old, Ron met his school sweetheart, Twyla Canaday, who was 13 at the time. It was love at first sight, and the two were married on July 2, 1961, in Chadron, Nebraska. They shared 65 wonderful years together and were blessed with two children, Ronnie Jr. and Carina.

In 1965, Ron’s work brought the family to Worland, Wyoming, where they made their home for the rest of his life. He began working in road construction right out of high school with his uncle at Lamb Construction and later worked for the City of Worland for more than 25 years. Ron was a hard worker who took great pride in his job and was always willing to lend a hand.

He was talented with his hands and could fix just about anything. Whether it was something around the house for Twyla or a project for a neighbor, Ron was always ready to help. He never hesitated to drop what he was doing when someone needed him.

As much as Ron loved his work, his greatest joy was his family. His children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were his true passion. Any free time he had was spent outdoors with the people he loved. Hunting, fishing, camping, or simply “making the loop” through the badland, Ron was happiest when he was outside and surrounded by family.

Ron was also the kind of father who made room for everyone. Growing up, Ronnie Jr.’s friends looked up to him, and Ron welcomed them as if they were his own. He was a dad to everyone and loved them all like family.

Ron is preceded in death by his parents, Lynard and Leila Gladson; daughter, Carrina Graham; brothers, Donnie and Robert Gladson; and great-grandson, Harrison.

He is survived by his loving wife, Twyla; son, Ronnie Jr. (Janice) Gladson of Thermopolis; grandchildren, Vickie Westfall, Steven Westfall, Gavin (Del Simpson) Gladson, Griffin (Emma) Gladson, and Grant Gladson; and great-grandchildren, Nicole Westfall, Sarah Day, Evie, Addy, Callum, Henry, Emmett, Taysen, Tinzley, Hadley, and Lucy.

As per Ron’s wishes, no formal services are planned at this time.
