Scott Bryant James Morley, 64, passed away on August 2, 2026 in Worland, Wyoming.

Scott was born in Golden, Colorado on November 28,1961 to Robert P. Sr. and Jeanie J. (Parcaut) Morley, the youngest boy of seven children. Following his graduation from Worland High School in 1981, he went to work for the next nineteen campaigns at Holly Sugar. He made the choice to change professions, trying his hand at construction for the next couple of years. He then went into carpentry work, building homes in the area. While working on custom homes up the North Fork in Wyoming Scott found a love for masonry that would shape the rest of his life. Scott enjoyed working with rocks and talked at great length about some of the fireplaces, walls and custom countertops he created. Scotty never met a stranger, and became friends with everyone that crossed his path.

His love for rocks continued even after he became ill with Microbial Avian Complex. Scott and his friends would go rock hounding for hours on end, taking Sweetie and Knuckles (his niece and nephew) every chance he could. He could talk with anyone who would listen about agates, common opal, and banded iron.

Scott’s love for fishing and the great outdoors came hand in hand with his rock hounding. It was not uncommon to find him and a friend or family member at upper Sunshine with his pole baited, waiting for the next bite.

In 2013 Scott moved back to Worland due to his illness. He got bored and accepted a job working on a yard. This lead to several summers of helping others work on their yards along with his friend and partner, Tina and his close friend, Harry. They would work on the rocks that they found and turned them into pieces of jewelry and art. When he ran into a problem he contacted “Sabrina” for advice and different products to use.

Scott’s favorite holiday was Christmas where he would make a “punch” for the Christmas Eve festivities. He and his friends would also deep fry a turkey, one would be traditional, and the other would be Cajun. On July 4th one would find Scotty grilling hot dogs and hamburgers. The evening was spent with Sweetie and Knuckles at the Pits shooting off fireworks for hours.

He loved playing dominoes, chess and card games such as Poker with Sweetie and Knuckles, and other family members. Some of these games could become rather heated!

Scott was a loyal fan of the Denver Broncos, as he had throw pillows, lap blankets, cups, and bobble heads displayed in every room! A Broncos flag hung in front of his house every time the Broncos played. “Go Broncos”!

Scott was preceded in death by his parents, son, PJ (Patrick James), brothers Robert “RIP”, Jr., Randy and Marty as well as two infant siblings.

Survivors include his sister, Jan (Rod) Rosenbach of Worland, LoriLee (Marcus) Heath of Basin, and Kim (Wayne) Hiltz of Rawlins, Wyoming; children; Ambrosia (Clint) Vidrine, PJ Morley, Scott Morley, Shannon Ross and Jeremiah Morley; grandchildren Samuel, Anna Vidrine, Alex Vidrine, Jaxton Morley Dayton and Ollie Morley. He also leaves behind several aunts and uncles and nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held in June of 2027 at the Upper Sunshine Reservoir. Memorial donations may be made to help the family with funeral expenses. Checks may be mailed to Bryant Funeral Home, PO Box 524, Worland, WY 82401. Online condolences may be made at www.bryantfuneralhomeonline.com.
