Obituary
Shane Neal Bower
March 31, 1988 – April 8, 2019
Shane Neal Bower, 31-year-old Worland resident, died from the results of a tragic accident just across the Montana border on April 8, 2019.
Shane was born on March 31, 1988 in Worland to Michael Wade Bower, Sr. and Sandy Eileen (Meisinger). As a little boy Shane loved fishing and camping.
He looked forward to working with Randy and Cathy Rupe, his Godparents, on the farm in Eustis, NE and spending time on Banjo Farms with his dad and grandparents, Larry and JoAnne Bower. Harvesting corn, driving tractors, feeding chickens and helping Cathy with her flowers were some of his favorite memories.
He went to Eustis school from Kindergarten to 6th grade and then attended 7th through 9th grade in Kearney, Nebraska. Shane then left school to start living his adult life. He started working in restaurants cooking or washing dishes. He met Randi Thomas in Kearney and helped raise her son Taylor Thomas. They were married in January 2006, adding 2 more children to the family, Shane Neal Bower, Jr. and Amelia Eileen. They divorced in 2015.
Shane followed in his father's footsteps and taught himself the necessary skills to get his CDL license. As soon as he was old enough he took the test and began his career of driving trucks. Driving for CO-OP helped him gain some driving experience. When he and his family moved to Wyoming in 2011, he drove for Lost Horse Trucking out of Greybull, Wyoming and Rolling Hills Trucking from Worland. He also drove for A & A trucking before starting his own business, Bower Transport LLC in 2016 until the time of his death.
He loved his children, from dancing with his daughter, Amelia to working in the shop with his son, Shane Jr. He enjoyed having family and friends over for BBQs and just being outdoors. He was and is loved by many and will be forever missed.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Richard and Eileen Meisinger, Helen Gunnerson, Larry Bower; great-grandparents, Lynda and Harry Keller; Aunts, Donna Linden, Helen Linden, Uncle Kevin Meisinger, and Cousin Tyson Radcliff.
Suvivors include his parents, Michael Bower Sr., and Sandra (Patrick) Atkinson; sons, Taylor Thomas, Shane Neal Bower Jr.; daughter, Amelia Eileen; Fiancé, Alyssa Olson and her daughter, Audrina Boyer; Grandmother, Joann Bower; brother, Michael Wade Bower, Jr.; sister in-law, Ashley; Nieces, Mickayla, Olivia and Briana; aunt, Tami (Vince) Salzman; cousin, Jace Salzman, and many more aunts, uncles and cousins.
