Sharon Lyman

October 17, 1935 – February 4, 2026

Sharon H. Lyman, 90, surrounded by her loving family passed and went home to her Savior, Jesus Christ on February 4, 2026. Finally, her prayers were answered, and she was able to be reunited with her beloved Husband, Paul.

Sharon was born on October 17, 1935, in Lovell, Wyoming to Vivin Heber and Reva (Robertson) Hansen. Sharon was one of five children born into a loving home. Her brothers were Don Wayne, Ralph Budd, Gordon Vivin and one sister, Marilyn. She married the true love of her life, Paul Riley Lyman, on July 15, 1970, in Lovell, Wyoming. They were later sealed in the Idaho Falls Temple on June 8, 1974.

Sharon was a wonderful seamstress and cook. She loved to play the piano and organ. Her favorite books to read were the Work and the Glory Series. Her favorite trip was one of a lifetime with Paul to Jerusalem where she felt the Saviors love for her. She took great joy in watching her children and grandchildren learn and grow. She spent most of her days watching old classic western movies. She loved listening to George Gershwin. Her favorite song he composed was "Rhapsody in Blue." Her hobbies were embroidery, crossword puzzles and memory match. In her younger years, she was a daredevil adrenaline junkie. She jumped from bridges to go swimming and rode fast and free across the plains of the Big Horn Basin. Once she even parasailed in the skies of Mexico. She enjoyed playing bridge with her Ten Sleep friends. She also loved to oil paint nature in all its beauty. She loved to work in her garden and can the food she produced. She decorated many birthday cakes and skillfully crafted clothing for her children to wear.

Her greatest accomplishment in life was making sure each of her children attended church to learn about their Savior, Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father. She continued to share the gospel with others right up until her death. Ninety years of wisdom has created a great family legacy.
